William is an OCD advocate, OCD treatment provider, OCD researcher, and OCD survivor. William's OCD research was relied on by the 21 Nation International Obsessive Compulsive Disorders Accreditation Task Force in creating knowledge and competency standards for the treatment of adult OCD. In addition to his OCD research, he is the author of numerous peer-reviewed articles on mental health and the book Mental Health: Biology, Agency, Meaning.

His practice is located in Saint Paul, Minnesota and is focused on supporting those experiencing OCD.

BOARD MEMBER, FUNDRAISING

Michelle Brislin is a senior consultant with PACE Fundraising and has been in the non-profit sector for 25 years. Prior to joining PACE, she held a management role at Concordia College in Moorhead and served as a gift planner for the college in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area and on the East Coast. She has worked in higher education, health care, human services, sports management, and faith-based ministries. Along with her tenure in fundraising, Michelle worked as a broadcast journalist with Studio One and WDAZ News, where she served as an anchor, reporter, and producer. This training and experience instilled in her a love for story-telling and relationship-building. She offices out of Minneapolis/St. Paul where she is launching PACE services and spends half of her time serving clients in North Dakota.

BOARD MEMBER, ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Peter Schultz is a conservationist, archaeologist, and entrepreneur. He's the former Olin J. Storvick Chair of Classical Studies at Concordia College, the current Executive Director of the Longspur Prairie Fund, and a Scholar in Residence in the Department of Visual Art at North Dakota State University.

He received his BA summa cum laude in Art History, Philosophy, and Classics from Concordia College in 1994 and took his MA in Art History from Vanderbilt University in 1997. He received his PhD in Classical Archaeology from the University of Athens in 2003 with his dissertation Το εικονογραφικό πρόγραμμα του ναού της Αθηνάς Νίκης στην Ακρόπολη.

Professor Schultz has held advanced fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Fulbright Foundation, the A.G. Leventis Foundation, the Fritz-Thyssen Stiftung für Wissenschaftsförderung, the American School of Classical Studies, Athens -- and many others.

EMERITUS BOARD MEMBER

Alison Dotson, the author of Being Me with OCD: How I Learned to Obsess Less and Live My Life, was diagnosed with OCD at age twenty-six, after suffering from “taboo” obsessions for more than a decade. Today, she still has occasional intrusive thoughts, but she knows how to deal with them in healthy ways. Alison has spoken about her experiences with OCD with several media outlets, including The Atlantic, Glamour, Good Housekeeping, Health.com, and NBC. She lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with her two rescue dogs, Tuffy and Gracie, whose shenanigans make her laugh every day.

BOARD MEMBER, CONSULTANT

Alik Widge is a brain stimulation psychiatrist and biomedical engineer. He is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Minnesota, where he directs the Translational NeuroEngineering Lab. He uses multiple advanced methods, including deep brain stimulation and transcranial stimulation, to treat otherwise treatment-resistant OCD and related disorders. In his animal laboratory, he also studies the neurobiological basis of habits and stuck thinking.

Lynsey Miron is a clinical psychologist specializing in understanding and treating PTSD, OCD, and anxiety using evidence-based methods. In addition to private practice, she trains and mentors graduate student therapists within the Interprofessional Center for Counseling and Legal Services (IPC) at the University of St. Thomas, a multidisciplinary training clinic and community resource serving underinsured individuals in the Twin Cities metro. At the IPC, she founded and oversees a free specialty clinic devoted to the treatment of OCD and related disorders. She is committed to increasing awareness and access to effective OCD treatment for diverse and historically underserved communities.
