Dan Neumann, MSW, LICSW

I have provided professional social work services, including psychotherapy, to children and families over a span of 40 years.

I provide therapy utilizing an array of evidence-based treatments in a holistic, person-centered way for people who are experiencing excessive anxiety, whether it’s panic attacks, unrelenting worries, incapacitating phobias, etc, or unwanted obsessive thoughts & compulsions (OCD), so that they can learn to overcome feelings of hopelessness, frustration, shame and loneliness and live a rich and meaningful life without feeling judged or unsupported. Dan is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Minnesota, School of Social Work, since 2018.

In addition to playing and teaching music (drums), I enjoy spending time with family & friends, reading, traveling and being a lifelong learner. I also like to spend time outdoors, especially with my trusty Beagle, Rufus.

OCD Group Therapy

Experience a sense of community in a safe, supportive space where you can discuss your experiences without judgement, learn from others, and feel less isolated.

This is a therapy group for adults with OCD and related conditions, facilitated by Dan Neumann, LICSW. Group size is 5-9 members. The group is ongoing and has a curriculum cycle of 8 weeks. I ask that you commit to an entire cycle and attend consistently, as this can be most beneficial for both you and the group.

A free consultation is required to determine a good fit and to answer your questions. An official OCD diagnosis is not required; I can provide that, if appropriate.

One of the biggest benefits of OCD group therapy is the safe, supportive space it creates. OCD group therapy allows you to discuss your experiences without judgment. This alone can be very therapeutic.

OCD group therapy can also help with the social isolation that often accompanies a mental health condition.
